Training

In addition to training stock horses we have began rebuilding our training program around reprogramming ex-race horses. Our goal is to take a horse that has come off the track and teach them to be quiet, solid mounts for any discipline they are suited. When a horse leaves here they will be ready to begin serious training whether it's trail riding, dressage, western pleasure, endurance or h/j. The horses get a lot of let down time and quiet time on the ground and under saddle learning that it is okay to relax at work. We do not do short term fixes but instead work toward long term positive results.

We also take horses (and mules) that have developed behavioral problems with the same goal in mind. AND we work with horse and rider to see that the problem doesn't come back. When we send a horse out the gate we don't want it to come back except to visit or for a minor tune up. We try to always be available to our clients if minor issues come up later. I would rather correct a minor issue before it becomes a major problem.
